If you knew any of the events listed below were going to happen in 2 years, what would you begin doing today?
- You lose your job
- A close family member loses everything
- The US suffers massive crop failure
- The power grid is damaged, and power outages become part of every day life
- You'd start saving resources
- You'd learn new skills
- You'd warn the people you love
- And lots more...right?
What about either of these scenarios: What would you start doing today if in 2 years you knew:
- It will be illegal to be a Christian in the US, other than belonging to the State sponsored church?
- God calls you/us to begin a large scale task involving the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)?
Update: August 26, 2013
As I reread my old post, I realize I made a critical mistake: He has already called us to a large scale task: There are roughly 2.9 billion unreached people in the world (That's 2,900,000,000). Does that number overwhelm you? It should! But we aren't called to reach all of them...just those we can! How many of the 2.9 live right in front of us?
It is time for us to "Go!" NOW as His Disciples. He has already called us! It does not matter what tomorrow brings - It matters what we do today! And we have today in our hands!
